Identity Thief managed to take the top spot at the US box office, by edging out the new Dwayne Johnson movie Snitch. Identity Thief took top spot with $14.1m, taking its worldwide total to $93.7m, while Snitch came a close second with $13m.
The rest of the top five of the US box office this weekend saw Escape from Planet Earth come in third with $11m, Safe Haven come fourth with $10.6m and A Good Day to Die Hard rounding off the top five with $10m, taking its worldwide total to $132m.
