Melora Hardin's acting talent is soon going to be on display in the highly anticipated Amazon series "Transparent" and from the reception the show's cast members received at a screening at Outfest it seems there will be much scrutiny placed on the show.
The show revolves around the father of three adult children revealing that he is transgender and she plays a major role as the friend of one of the daughters, Sarah. She is a hip, open lesbian who as Tammy enjoys her time with Sarah but wants to be more than just a friend to Sarah.
2014 has been an outstanding year for Melora Hardin as she is not only a co-star in this movie but she has guest starred on the television show "Killer Women" and has two other projects that are scheduled to hit the big screens in 2014: "Do It Yourself", a television movie and "Isabelle Dances Into the Spotlight". In addition she has been announced as one of the feature actors in the movie "33 Liberty Lane".
She is an actress who filmmakers cannot help but choose for challenging dramatic roles that require the actor to dig far below the 'surface' of the character to discover the dimensions that an audience might connect with and then reveal them to the viewers through anger, laughter and the use of her 'womanly' charms which she does so well.
It is a testament to her talent and her reputation as an outstanding actress with casting agents and producer that she was chosen at the last minute to replace the co-star, Gillian Vigman. She seamlessly reshot her scenes and did it so well that critics do not even seem to be worried about her taking over the role.
The buzz about the Amazon show "Transparent" is that its going to be a show that gives Netflix competition and part of the reason is likely the superlative performances of cast members such as Melora Hardin, an actress known for her sensational dramatic range.
