Mena Suvari has revealed that her ex-partners always end up hating her.
The 33-year-old actress is currently promoting American Reunion, the latest in the American Pie franchise. It sees a group of former school friends attend a get together, although Mena wouldn't entertain going to such a party in real life.
When things are over she prefers to leave them that way - which also goes for her love life. She told Look magazine: "I've never been to a school reunion and never run into an ex who I've fallen back in love with. They all end up hating me. I just keep moving on. I don't like going back, I don't think it's healthy."
Mena is in the process of getting divorced from Simone Sestito, who she wed in 2010. At the moment she is happily single, although she isn't ruling anything out: "I'm sure there is [room for romance] but it's not something I focus on," she said. "I feel like I've got to a place in my life where I'm happy - I'm the main focus and that feels good. If [a new guy] was to happen [he'd] have to complement me, instead of taking away from me. There's a possibility of that."
Mena hinted some of her previous relationships haven't ended well, although she doesn't regret opening her life to any of the people she's been involved with. At the moment, Mena says she has no plans to settle down fully.
"I don't know, [marriage] is so far from my mind," she said. "I'm still going through a divorce right now. Maybe marriage isn't in my path, and that's fine with me."
