British actor Michael Fassbender is considered one of the top actors is Hollywood and is one of the most sought after stars in the industry. It is not surprising really, when you consider what brilliant performances he has put in over the years. Michael has now been talking about the awards season, admitting that he is not a fan of it.
Fassbender explained to GQ, ""I'm going to be busy working, I just don't really have time. You know, I get it. Everybody's got to do their job, so you try and help and facilitate as best you can. But I won't put myself through that kind of situation again. It's just a grind. And I'm not a politician, I'm an actor."
Michael Fassbender previously spent a lot of time and energy promoting the Steve McQueen movie Shame, in which he played the lead role, for awards season two years ago. Michael has now received a lot of praise for his performance in the movie 12 Years a Slave but will not put the same efforts into this movie at awards season.
As well as starring Michael Fassbender, 12 Years a Slave also stars Brad Pitt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Dano and Paul Giamatti, to name just a few. 12 Years a Slave is directed by Steve McQueen and opens on October 18 in the US, before hitting the UK on January 24, 2014.
