It has been reported this week that X-Men: First Class actor Michael Fassbender is being lined up to replace The Dark Knight Rises star Christian Bale in the Darren Aronofsky drama Noah. While the movie has had its ups and downs while in development, Darren Aronofsky has always been keen to direct it and now if finally seems that it is set to be getting made.
Batman actor Christian Bale was all set to play the role boat building, animal saving biblical character but unfortunately he has had to pull out due to having filming commitments on another project. However, it appears that Michael Fassbender is set to save the day by taking the place of Christian Bale as Noah and to be quite honest, we cannot think of anybody better.
Obviously everybody knows the story of Noah and how he built an Ark to save the animals from the great flood. As well as directing Noah, Darren Aronofsky also penned the screenplay along with Skyfall writer John Logan. The Noah movie is set to be fast tracked for a 2012 start date and it is expected that the movie will be released sometime in 2014.
