It is no secret that Liverpool have been known for producing some of the top strikers ever to grace the English Football League. Over the years, Liverpool have had a number of top class strikers, from Ian Rush to Robbie Fowler and then from Robbie Fowler to Michael Owen. While recent years have been a bit slow for Liverpool on the youth development front, when it comes to strikers, it appears that they may have one coming through in the next couple of years.
Michael Ngoo is a tall, strong, powerful and quick striker with plenty of tricks in his locker and a keen eye for goal. Michael joined Liverpool in 2009 managed to impress right from the off. His first year in the Liverpool academy was topped off with a superb solo goal reminiscent of the great Maradona. The 2010-2011 campaign was one of mixed emotions for Michael Ngoo however.
Unfortunately for Michael Ngoo, he suffered an injury set back and there was a worry that he would not recapture his form once he returned from fitness. However, despite his injury, Michael still managed to end the campaign as the Liverpool academy top goal scorer, as well as making a number of appearances for the Liverpool reserves and to top it all off, won a call up to the England U20 World Cup squad in Colombia. Remember the name Michael Ngoo, as he is certainly a player with a big future.
