Hollywood actor Michael Shannon is set to appear on the big screen next year as the movie villain Zod in the latest Superman film Man of Steel. Michael has revealed that, while he is playing the bad guy in the movie, Zod is not the scariest character to ever be seen on the big screen and admitted that he is just trying to get on with his job at hand.
Shannon explained, "He's actually a not very scary guy. He's just trying to do his job, just like anybody." Michael then went on to discuss how people might respond to Zod in Man of Steel, admitting that he himself is not exactly a fan of the character. He added, "Some people might hate him, some people might love him but I'm fond of him. I respect him."
Michael Shannon recently admitted that he is not a fan of the Superman comic and cannot understand why there is such a huge buzz around the Superman movie. Man of Steel is being directed by Zack Snyder and, as well as Michael Shannon, also stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner. Man of Steel is set to be released in both the US and the UK on June 14, 2013.
