Actor Michael Shannon is set to portray the famous character General Zod in the Zack Snyder reboot of the Superman franchise and Michael confirms that we can call it a reboot. Shannon also discussed his first experience at acting with CGI in Man of Steel.
Michael explained, "We're going back to square one. I guess you could call it a reboot. I'm excited to be doing that with Zack Snyder who did such a wonderful job with Watchmen and 300... It's a big movie. I've just started working on it, so I'm not quite into the swing of it yet. I'm trying to wrap my head around it.”
He added, “There are a lot of different elements that I've never experienced — like the CGI. You always hear about actors when they run into that for the first time, they are a little thrown by it. I'm looking forward to getting a little more comfortable and getting into a rhythm and then I think I'll start having some real fun with it."
Michael Shannon is just one member of an all star cast who are appearing in Man of Steel. He will be starring alongside Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White. Man of Steel is set to be released on June 14, 2013.
