When it was first announced that actress Michelle Keegan was quitting her role as Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street, there were a lot of very disappointed fans who were really going to miss the character. These fans found some solace in the fact that Tina was not being killed off and the door was being left open for Michelle Keegan to return at some point in the future.
However, the fans then got another big shock, as did Michelle Keegan, when it was announced that there had been a change of plan and that Tina was now being killed off Coronation Street. Well, that time has now been and gone and Michelle has taken the time to thank her fans for all their support over the years.
Keegan took to her official Twitter account to say, "To you all I'm eternally grateful. Thank you to coronation street for putting me on the most amazing path and allowing me live my dream. It's an end of an era... Thank you to all you lovely people who changed my life, supported and made the last 6 and a half years so special... I'm going to miss Tina so much but a part of her will be with me forever..."
Fans saw Michelle Keegan in her final episode as Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street earlier this week, as the character was killed off the show. Michelle will now look for some more acting opportunities, although she has claimed in the past that she would be reluctant to head to Hollywood. This could be an error on her part, as we could see Michelle Keegan becoming a huge movie star in the future. We guess we will just have to wait and see where her career will take her next.
