It was recently suggested that Miley Cyrus had become engaged to her long term boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, after she was spotted with a ring on her finger. However, Miley has dismissed the claims, stating that she has been wearing the finger for months now.
Cyrus took to her official Twitter account to inform her followers, "I'm not engaged. I've worn this same ring on this finger since November! People just wanna find something to talk about! It's a topaz, people!"
Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus began dating after meeting each other on the set of the 2009 movie The Last Song and, despite a brief split in 2010, they have been together ever since. The couple are said to be very happy together and it was recently suggested that they had been discussing marriage.
