Adding to her ever growing collection of tattoos, Miley Cyrus recently went under the needle for a new piece on her left forearm.
And it seems the “Hannah Montana” star was inspired by President Theodore Roosevelt’s 1910 speech “Citizenship in a Republic,” to the point that she quoted him in the ink.
The tattoo reads: "So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat."
Miley isn’t the only person to be moved by Roosevelt’s words; both Richard Nixon and Nelson Mandela quoted the speech during their respective careers - although they didn't opt to tattoo it on themselves.
However neither Miley nor her spokesperson has said anything about the new tattoo or the catalyst behind the decision to get it done.
