We have seen a lot of interesting collaborations in the music industry over the years and, while some of them have gone on to prove very successful, there are others that have been considered a huge flop. It now looks like we could be set for another very interesting collaboration, as Kathleen Hanna has asked Miley Cyrus to work on a new album with her.
The whole thing started when Miley Cyrus posted a picture of Kathleen Hanna the word "Slut" written across her tummy, along with the caption which said "Coolest ever". This then led to Kathleen tweeting Miley to suggest the collaboration, saying, "Hey @MileyCyrus so sweet you posted pics of me...have an idea for an album that only you are daring enough to make."
This is not the first time that Kathleen Hanna has spoken about Miley Cyrus, as she has previously been asked about her views on the young singer. One thing in particular that Kathleen touched on was the fact that Miley considers herself to be a feminist.
Hanna said at the time, "Well, I’m glad the word ‘feminist’ is being talked about and that influential pop stars are bringing up this conversation. If she says she’s a feminist, then who I am to stop her? I’m not the feminist police. I don’t get to determine that. I’m happy that young women are embracing that term, for whatever reason it means to them. Maybe for her it’s about freedom of sexuality and freedom of expression."
