There are a lot of stars going through a rough time of things today, as a number of different intimate pictures and videos have been leaked online, seriously violating the privacy of these stars. Now singer Miley Cyrus has come out and spoken about how the internet can be much more damaging to stars these days than drugs are.
Miley Cyrus certainly knows a thing or two about what she is talking about when it comes to the internet being damaging to a person. Miley once posted some pictures online of her smoking some weed and the backlash she received following the pictures was less than positive.
Cyrus explained, "I put some picture of me smoking weed... on my Instagram because I was brought up in the way that we never thought marijuana was bad. You know what hurts your brain? Googling yourself. You know what hurts your brain? Instagram. You know what hurts your brain? Reading comments on Facebook."
As well as talking about how damaging the internet can be on a person in the entertainment industry's confidence, Miley Cyrus also went on to talk about how she feels being regarded as a role model for young girls. Miley says that she does not like being referred to as a role model for young girls, as she is just doing what makes her feel happy in herself.
Cyrus added, "I don't put myself up on a pedestal and say, 'Look at me, I'm an example.' The only thing I'm an example of is freedom, especially in this time where the energy of the world is shifting from male energy to female energy."
It was recently claimed that Miley Cyrus is looking to get back into acting and would love to land the role of Dolly Parton in the movie of her life.
