There have been so many attempts to adapt a hit video game into a successful movie franchise but, unfortunately for fans of these games, the majority of them fall way short of the expectations, stopping the potential franchise in its tracks. With that said, there has been one video game that has gone on to enjoy a very successful movie franchise indeed.
While the fans of the Resident Evil video games have been very critical of most of the Resident Evil movies, the franchise has still gone on to make a lot of money at the box office, which has led to more being made. The latest film in the franchise, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will be the last instalment of the movie franchise, with shooting currently taking place.
Milla Jovovich reprises her role as Alice for one last time, on the big screen at least, while Ali Larter is also back as Claire. The two stars have clearly been having a lot of fun on the set of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, as they have shown their fans and followers. Both Milla and Ali have posted plenty of on set pictures to their official social media accounts, exciting fans around the world.
While Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will be the last instalment in the Resident Evil movie franchise, there has been talk of a possible Resident Evil television series being adapted for the future, with Milla Jovovich tipped for a guest role. We will just have to wait and see if that does ever actually happen.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will open on January 27, 2017.
