When it comes to adapting video games to movies, there have not been that many that have actually managed to prove too successful but, when it comes to looking at the most successful video game to movie franchise, it would have to be Resident Evil, which has been a huge financial success and has helped to make Milla Jovovich a household name around the world.
Milla Jovovich as Alice was arguably the best thing about the Resident Evil movies but, now that the actress has finished with the Resident Evil movies, it will be interesting to see whether she will be forever typecast or if she can land some different roles. If her next movie role is anything to go by, then it looks like the typecast theory could well be true.
According to recent reports, Milla Jovovich is in line to take on the role of the Villainous Blood Queen in the planned Hellboy reboot, which we are very excited about indeed. Milla will be a welcome addition to an already impressive cast for the Hellboy reboot, with both Ian McShane and David Harbour already on board for the new project.
As well as having an exciting cast, the Hellboy reboot is going to be a R-rated movie, which is good news all round. Hellboy is expected to begin shooting later in the year, in Bulgaria and the UK, with the plan to release the movie at some point during 2018. We are already excited about this project and we hope it will not disappoint.
