Model Miranda Kerr has been named as the new ambassador for the Australian airline Qantas, something which she states she is very proud of. The Australian supermodel claims that she grew up knowing all about Qantas and that she is excited to have the chance to be involved with such a world renowned Australian brand.
Kerr explained, "I grew up with Qantas, which is such an iconic Australian brand. I'm proud of my Australian heritage and I'm so excited that I will now be able to represent Australia's premium airline around the world. I travel frequently and from the moment I step onboard a Qantas flight, I feel at home."
Qantas boss Alan Joyce added, "Miranda Kerr is one of the most photographed and recognisable people in the world." Miranda Kerr recently admitted that she and, her Lord of the Rings actor husband Orlando Bloom are often having to travel between Australia, the US, the UK and New Zealand, where Orlando Bloom is currently filming his parts as Legolas in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which is set to be released on December 14, 2012 in both the US and the UK.
