It looks like we are in for a bit of a treat this year, as we seem to be getting a number of exciting collaborations coming our way over the course of the coming year and beyond. One of the most exciting collaborations that we have coming our way is the song Somethin' Bad, which sees Miranda Lambert teaming up with Carrie Underwood.
Miranda, who has been recording some new music of late, has opened up about the Carrie Underwood collaboration and how she thought that it might not actually happen. Miranda says that she plucked up the courage to send Carrie an email about it and, since it took Underwood so long to reply, she was worried that the fellow singer did not actually like it.
Lambert told People Country, "To me, this is such a big deal that Carrie and I are singing together. It took me forever to write the email to ask her, like I was writing to someone I had a crush on and you don't want to mess it up. It took a week for her to get back to me and I was telling [husband] Blake [Shelton], 'She hates me, she hates the song, she's never going to talk to me again, she's probably going to change her email address!' She finally wrote me back and said, 'I think it's awesome, let's do it!'"
Miranda Lambert is delighted with the Carrie Underwood collaboration, admitting that she is very happy with the way that Somethin' Bad turned out. Meanwhile, fans will get to hear plenty more new music from Miranda Lambert when her new album Platinum lands in June.
