English actress, and two-time Golden Globe award winner Miranda Richardson was clearly born to act. You may remember her outstanding performance in a supporting role in her dual role as Lady Van Tassel, and her twin sister The Crone in the popular hit film Sleepy Hollow (1999) with Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane. This genre has worked well for Miranda as she plays the part of the quintessential evil stepmother with flawless execution.

Miranda has also appeared in a dual role as the Queen of Hearts and a woman of high society in Alice in Wonderland (1999). You may also remember her in the roles of Frederica and the widow in the film Bachelor (1990). Richardson has a flair for playing dual roles which shows how wonderfully versatile her acting abilities are. Switching personae in mid stream, and doing it effectively is a rare talent that she definitely possesses.

She also appeared as a witch in the television series The Jim Henson Hour (1990); and a similar role in the TV mini-series The Storyteller (1988). You may have also seen her in the role of Queen Isabella in the TV series True Adventures of Christopher Columbus (1992). Miranda Richardson also played the part of Queen Elspeth in Snow White: The Fairest of Them All (2001); Queen Mary in The Lost Prince (2003) and Queen Rosalind in The Prince and Me (2004). We definitely see a pattern in the roles that she plays.
