It seems that there are a lot of unhappy people about Rookie Blue season five, especially fans of the series who are living in the US. As many of you may already know, Rookie Blue season five is already airing on Global in Canada, but it will not air on ABC in the US until Thursday, June 19, something which many people are disappointed about.
It is not only fans of Rookie Blue who are disappointed about the delay of season five in the US, as it also seems that some of the cast members are less than happy too. Actress Missy Peregrym plays the role of Andy McNally in Rookie Blue and she believes that the time difference between the episodes airing in Canada and the episodes airing in America will lead to plots being leaked.
Missy told Zap2It, "I'm not happy about that. I was definitely frustrated to hear. The States are always going to be four episodes behind now. It's so difficult to even do press and publicity, because I don't want to be the one who's giving things away."
She added, "I can't do interviews and say all these things just for the Canadian side, because it's not like everything stays in Canada. It's going to leak through, so basically, I'm only able to talk about the beginning of the season ... and the rest of it will have to play out as it does. I would like to protect it as much as possible."
What do you think about the decision to have a one month gap between the Rookie Blue season five premiere in Canada compared to the US?
