British-Australian actress Naomi Watts is known as one of the top dramatic actresses in Hollywood and she has worked hard to establish herself as an actress with impressive acting range after spending years as a struggling actress in Hollywood. Naomi Watts has starred in heavy dramatic films such as "Diana" in which she played the title role and recently in the movie "Impossible" in which she played the role of British tourist Maria Bennett about her family becoming separated as a result of the 2004 tsunami in Thailand. As such, it is a pleasant surprise to her fans that Naomi Watts will soon be seen on the big screen as part of several comedic movies.

A beautiful woman who can make an audience laugh is always a sure winner at the box office and Naomi Watts interestingly considers herself a funny person in real life. She understands that her fans know her through her dramatic roles but she felt she needed to show Hollywood a different side of herself but the challenge was convincing Hollywood that she could play a comedic role. As such she pursued comedic roles after the completion of "The Impossible" and ended up with not one but three comedy movies.

Naomi Watts next films will see her acting alongside comedic stars such as Ben Stiller in "While We Were Young", Zach Galifianakis and Emma Stone in "Birdman" and Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy in "St. Vincent de Van Nuys" and she has described the experience as exciting. In addition to showing Hollywood producers and directors that she can play a comedic role it also serves to expand her acting range as well and shows her fans a lighter, fun side of the attractive Naomi Watts.
