Moonlight actress Naomie Harris has enjoyed a long and successful career in Hollywood to date but she has yet to settle down and start a family. Naomie has now opened up about one day starting a family, insisting that she has never felt any pressure to have children and she will start a family when she is good and ready.
Harris said, "My mum has always said, 'You can achieve anything, you can do anything.' She always says, 'Have children when you're ready, if you're ready, but only then,' and I'd never had any pressure. I think that really helps, having that bedrock of support from my mum and having grown up in that environment means I don't really feel pressured by other people."
She added, "People ask, 'So when are you going to have children?' I think it's a really odd thing because it's such a personal decision. And you also don't know what is happening in someone's life. I find it bizarre, even with my friends, when they want me to have children. Why would you encourage anybody to have children unless it was their burning desire? You need to fully be committed to it."
As far as her acting career is concerned, Naomie Harris is next set to appear on the big screen in the new movie Jungle Book, which is the latest attempt at a live-action adaptation of the classic Disney tale. Jungle Book has been directed by Andy Serkis and is set to hit the big screen on October 19, 2018 in both the US and the UK.
