Whenever there is talk of a new comic book character coming to the big screen, it does not take very long for the rumour mill to start churning and fans to start suggesting which star should be cast in the role. So, when it was announced that Joss Whedon was going to bring us a Batgirl movie, we were not surprised when a huge amount of different actresses were being linked to the role.
It was last thought that the 13 Reasons Why actress Katherine Langford was the favourite to play Batgirl, with suggestions that we could even see her making a cameo appearance in an end credit scene for the Justice League movie. However, it has now been claimed that Katherine has become too big a name for the role, as Joss Whedon is actually looking for a lesser known star to play Batgirl.
With that in mind, the fans have been throwing out plenty of actresses who could fall into that category, and it seems that the beautiful star Natalie Morales has come out as the new favourite to play Batgirl in the DC Extended Universe. While Natalie has been acting for quite a few years now and has a number of acting credits to her name, she is still not exactly a big name in Hollywood.
With that said, there is no denying that Natalie Morales is a very talented actress and she would definitely be able to carry the weight of playing such a huge character on the big screen, so if Warner Bros. and DC were to cast her as Batgirl, then she would get our full support.
