British actress Nathalie Emmanuel has come a long way since her days on the UK soap Hollyoaks and is now making a name for herself on a global scale, thanks in part to playing the role of Missandei in the hit HBO fantsasy drama series Game of Thrones. During the most recent episode of Game of Thrones, we saw Missandei involved in a sex scene with her love interest Grey Worm, and Nathalie has now opened up about shooting the scene admitting that, while it was fine, it was always going to be a bit uncomfortable.
During a recent interview, Emmanuel explained, "Whether you’ve done it many times, or none at all, it’s a big deal. You feel like you’re giving something quite vulnerable and, yes, it’s hard. It’s never a comfortable thing to do but if you trust your director and actors and the people on set, it’s fine."
She added, "It was treated very well and very respectfully and I feel like we had a really great day showing these two characters being completely vulnerable with each other. And it sort of helps the scene to actually feel very vulnerable and exposed. It’s good to use that energy and it made it so much better."
Seeing the latest Game of Thrones sex scene has certainly stirred up a lot of questions and comments but we are delighted to see Missandei and Grey Worm getting together and we hope that they can both make it out of this season alive. We guess only time will tell on that one.
