The NBA announced six participants for the NBA All Star Weekened Slam Dunk contest in Houston next week. For the first time since 2001 the Slam Dunk contest will feature only six players, two of those who won the contest previously - Jeremy Evans from Utah, the defending champion and Gerald Green from the Indiana Pacers, a winner in 2007.

Jeremy Evans is the defendin champion
There are three players from East conference and three more from West conference. The dunkers with the highest score from each conference after the first round (two dunks) will compete head-to-head on the final, where fan voting (nba.com, twitter, mobile apps & SMS) will determine the champion.
