It appears that Ne-Yo is taking his role as a father very seriously and looks to take that dedication and commitment and apply it to his relationship with Monyetta Shaw, as the two have become engaged. Not only that, they are also expecting their second child together.
A representative for Ne-Yo confirmed that the rumours were true and that the happy couple will be welcoming their second child next month. Ne-Yo and Monyetta already have a daughter together, named Madilyn Grace, who was born in November 2010.
Ne-Yo tweeted at the time, “in luv for the first time. Welcoming that lil’ girl to the world last night defined for me ‘willing to kill and die for’ truly means. My world, my life, all hers.” With another child and a wedding on the way, there is even more for the 31 year old singer to “kill and die for”.
