Bollywood superstar actress Neha Dhupia was recently invited to Texas by the South Asian Chamber of Commerce for their 20th anniversary celebration - "From Hollywood to Bollywood". Neha Dhupia represented the Indian film fraternity and in the process she met Hollywood acting star Wilmer Valderrama with whom she was able to discuss what it was like to work in Hollywood as compared to Bollywood.
This type of interaction is essential for the growth of the inevitable union of Hollywood and Bollywood films as it is not just the studios that will be working together but the actors and as such the more Bollywood stars such as Neha Dhupia are able to learn and share with their Hollywood counterparts and vice versa the better the eventual working relationship.
However, the interaction between the stars was not all about work as Wilmer Valderrama discussed with her about a charity he is involved in, "United 4" and how it is supported by stars such as Alicia Keys, and Charlize Theron. Giving back and helping others is something that Neha Dhupia has always been a believer in and as such she expressed serious interest in becoming involved with the charity.
Bollywood and Hollywood have started working together and while the relationship is in its early stages it is inevitable that the relationship is going to grow to huge proportions. Therefore, it is essential that top Bollywood actors such as Neha Dhupia develop contacts with their Hollywood counterparts and thus the fact that she met and shared notes about her Bollywood film experiences with acting star Wilmer Valderrama made this trip an overwhelming success for both her and the Indian film fraternity.
Bollywood and Hollywood are changing and it will be actors such as Neha Dhupia who will be leading the change both now and in the future.
