We all know the stakes in the third season of 'Game of Thrones' have been raised, even without seeing the trailers. Book fans and non book-fans have come to realize that this upcoming season will see a lot more heartbreak and danger than anything that has come before it, but the highlights of the trailers so far has always been the dragons. Thus, it seemed like the people who made this trailer read our minds when they released a new trailer with increased focus on Dany's dragons.
The trailer opens with a dragon flying above the water and circling around Emilia Clarke's Khaleesi with a scream. The trailer then segues into an interaction between Tyrion Lannister and Cersei Lannister as Tyrion asks, "How long does it go on?" and Cersei answers, "Until we've dealt with all our enemies." Fans of the series know these 'enemies' consist of a large group of people from across Westeros and beyond. The trailer continues in this vein, but it ends on a glimpse of a dragon breathing fire while it's chained to Dany.
Another interesting thing to note in this trailer is that the entire 1 minute montage is accompanies by music from Tron: Legacy. Many Internet commentators have been discussing how the futuristic music seems almost jarring with medieval visuals.
Either way, the trailer has just served to increase anticipation to an even higher level than it was already at, and the debut of the third season on March 31st is looking like it will set a new record for HBO.
