Well, we think it is now perfectly clear that Warner Bros. and DC have decided to keep their big screen movie projects separate from their television shows, casting different actors in the same role for their big screen and small screen projects. So, with that in mind, could we see some of the bigger DC characters making an appearance on the small screen in the future?
The CW enjoyed huge success with the hit television series Smallville, which focused on the early years of Clark Kent aka Superman and, since that show come to an end, they have given us the television series Arrow, which centres on the life of Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow, as well as The Flash, based on the adventures of Barry Allen aka The Flash.
It has since been confirmed that we are going to get a new DC television series coming to the small screen with the planned Supergirl series being brought our way in the very near future. With Supergirl being brought to the small screen and DC and Warner Bros. keeping their big screen projects separate from their small screen shows, could we see a new Superman making a cameo appearance on the new Supergirl series?
There is no reason why we could not see a new actor being cast as a small screen Superman and the character could even go on to make cameo appearances on Arrow and The Flash too. With that said though, the Supergirl TV series will air on CBS, while Arrow and The Flash are on The CW, which makes it unlikely that we would get any crossovers between the two, although not impossible.
Would you like to see a new Superman appearing on the small screen and which actor do you think would be perfect for the role?
