The countdown to the release of The Hunger Games has begun, as we only have a few months to wait before The Hunger Games hits the big screen. We have had a number of pictures, posters and even The Hunger Games movie trailer to cast our eyes over so far and now we have been given some more brand new pictures to get us even more excited.

The pictures show Jennifer Lawrence in a number of scenarios, as she portrays the hero of the story Katniss. Those of you who have read The Hunger Games will agree that Jennifer Lawrence looks to be a fantastic choice to play Katniss, although we’ll have to wait until the movie is released to get a real idea of how good she is. If you have not read the Suzanne Collins novels, we suggest you do, as they are great but we are sure that if you do not, it will not affect your movie experience.
One of the four pictures shows Woody Harrelson, who plays Haymitch Abernathy, Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta Mellark and Lenny Kravitz, who plays Cinna, all sitting around having a chat. It will be interesting to see whether director Gary Ross can do justice to the books and some people have been left a little disappointed by the trailer but we cannot wait. The Hunger Games hits the big screen on March 23.
