There are a lot of Australian stars in Hollywood these days and one of the biggest and best of the all would have to be Oscar nominated actor Hugh Jackman. While Hugh has played a variety of different roles over the course of his career, he is probably best known for playing the role of X-Men character Wolverine.
Hugh Jackman first appeared on the big screen as Wolverine in the 2000 movie X-Men and has continued in the role ever since. There are already plans afoot for a new Wolverine film, which would be Hugh's eighth appearance as the character, and the actor has admitted that it will be his last.
Jackman told SFX, "I don’t know yet. We’re talking it through. I still am very ambitious for the character. And tonally I feel like we corrected the ship with the last one. But I feel we can still go further, in a way. If I did another one I’m 99.9% sure it would be the last, so that will inform what it is for me."
Hugh then went on to talk about the storyline that they would use for the next Wolverine film, "Of course we’re looking at Old Man Logan, because that may be the only option left at this point! [laughs] We are looking at a lot of different storylines. No one has jumped out. You can tell from my answer that we’re still working it out," added Jackman.
We will next get to see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the upcoming movie X-Men: Days of Future Past, which will open on May 22 in the UK, before then hitting the big screen on May 23 in the US.
Who would you like to see taking over from Hugh Jackman as Wolverine?
