Now that Chelsea have offloaded Daniel Sturridge to Liverpool, in a deal believed to be around £12m, they are now finalising their move for Newcastle striker Demba Ba. That means that Newcastle will be looking to bring in some fresh faces of their own.

Peter Odemwingie is a target for Newcastle United
It has now been claimed that Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew will be looking to spend a chunk of the £7.5m, that they will receive for Demba Ba, on West Bromwich Albion forward Peter Odemwingie. However, West Brom will be eager to hold on to their striker.
The 31-year-old Nigerian has only 18 months left on his contract and it is believed that Newcastle will be looking to get their man for around £3m. While West Brom hope to keep hold of Odemwingie, they would rather cash in now, than see his value drop as his contract runs down.

Papiss Cisse is also hoping to benefit from Ba's exit
With the exit of Demba Ba, Alan Pardew and Newcastle United will be looking to push Papiss Cisse into a more central role, where he will be able to take advantage of his finishing abilities. Papiss has been playing in a more wide role, since Demba Ba has been in such good form.
