Brazilian striker Neymar was one of the most wanted players on the planet, before he finally decided to join Barcelona in the Summer. However, it seems that Barcelona are a little worried about his size, putting him on a strict diet in a bid to help him increase his muscle mass.
The nutritional plan has already seen Neymar bulk up a fair amount already and the club hope that this can make him an even more lethal striker. The diet sees Neymar consume lentils, whole grains, spinach, beets and clams, as well as taking in the right amount of carbohydrates, such as pasta.
As many of you are well aware, these are pretty obvious diet options, which you would expect many athletes to undertake, but Neymar has a secret weapon. Neymar consumes a drink, which has been dubbed the "magic potion" which has seen him improve a considerable amount.
The "magic potion" is a combination of special milkshake granulate with water or milk, which contains vitamins B1, B2, B6, B9, B12, among a few others. It is the vitamin B2 (riboflavin) which helps to transfer food into energy. Neymar has to consume 150ml after workouts and 300ml after a competitive match.
If the "magic potion" works too well, we could well see Neymar become a rival to Lionel Messi as the best player in the world.
