After saying that it is a challenge to write new material, Dougie Poynter has spoken out about how One Direction singer Niall Horan has offered a helping hand to the lads.
Niall recently confessed to finding the pop star lifestyle hard work, saying: 'It’s much harder work than it’s made out to be. It looks like it’s's all glitz and glamour, but there are a lot of flights and interviews and photo shoots. A shoot can take hours and then only one picture will be used. Not that I am complaining at all, because I love it all, but it’s not really what I expected it to be in some ways.'
So maybe this is the beginning of Niall's plans to take a more behind-the-scene role in the world of showbiz? And it seems as though he would be good at it, with Dougie telling BBC Newsbeat: 'It hasn't got a title at the moment but we wrote the song with Niall. He's got some good ideas so had a lot of input.'
Dougie also continued to compliment the rest of the band, saying: 'They are smart guys. They know what they're doing. They play to arenas and stadiums around the world. So I think it's a bit of a challenge to come up with some songs to go with that.'
The One Direction lads are currently enjoying the height of success as part of their massive world tour called 'Take Me Home.'
