After being rejected as solo stars on The X Factor, the One Direction boys could be forgiven for fearing that their dreams were over. However, someone had the foresight to put the boys together as a band and now they are the biggest boyband on the planet. Despite their huge global success, the One Direction boys still remain grounded and Niall Horan insists that he, and the rest of the One Direction boys, will always try to stay grounded.
Horan explained, "We're all very aware of how lucky we've been. There have been a lot of moments where I've stopped and realised 'I'm the luckiest guy in the world' when you hear thousands of people screaming your name at our concerts. We wouldn't be anywhere without our fans and we also know that the music industry moves so fast that we have to keep working hard all the time to stay at the top or some other group will come along and take our place. I love it. We have a lot of respect for the way our fans show their appreciation, our fans are incredible."
He added, "We're really happy with the hard work they've put in and spread the word about us amazingly well. Most of the 'Directioners' who come to our concerts have bought their tickets several months in advance. They come knowing our songs and that means a lot to us. It's hard sometimes because you're tired from travelling and performing and we need to rest. But we want to do be able to get out and walk around as much as we can although sometimes that can be tough because of the attention and all."
One Direction are currently having the biggest year, of their already huge career, as they continue on their World tour and prepare for the release of the One Direction 3D movie, titled This Is Us, which opens on August 29 in the UK, before then hitting the big screen in the US on August 30.
