Jack the Giant Slayer actor Nicholas Hoult recently split from his girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence and he has now admitted that he had developed a knitting obsession while filming Mad Max: Fury Road. Nicholas says that it was a very masculine movie but that did not stop him knitting at least eight items.

Hoult told Radio Times, "A make-up artist taught me. I've stopped. Although I did become obsessed with it. I made two scarves, a snood and five hats. It was such a masculine set." Nicholas then went on to admit that, while he got into acting at a very young age, he did not realise at the time that it would be his long-term career.
He added, "I really enjoyed making 'About a Boy'. But if there was a cricket game going on next door, I'd be more interested in playing in that than doing the scene. It wasn't like I was thinking, 'Oh, this is gonna be a career, let's focus on acting.'

Mad Max: Fury Road finished filming way before Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence split and he has admitted that he has since given up knitting, so he won't be using that to get over Jennifer. The two are still good friends and will be back together to film the movie X-Men: Days of Future Past next month.
