Nicholas Hoult is set to appear on the big screen in the movie Mad Max: Fury Road, which has a number of intense driving scenes, which he was slightly worried about. Nicholas has admitted that the reason he was worried about the driving scenes, is because he once ran over Dev Patel's foot while filming Skins.
Hoult told Total Film, “When I drove a car in Skins in one of the first weeks I ran over Dev Patel's foot and then panicked and reversed back over it and got stuck on his foot. Then I was really shaken up for the rest of the day feeling terrible about it, so it's probably a good thing that they're leaving it to the professionals and not letting me drive the cars?”
He added, “It's all well and good in my head and I'm like, 'I can drive!' But then you see all the other cars around and how much is going on and how talented all the drivers are - I dunno, I'd probably get all nervous and stall and panic if I was doing it.”
As well as starring Nicholas Hoult, Mad Max: Fury Road also stars Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Zoe Kravitz. Mad Max: Fury Road is directed by George Miller and is currently in post production, with a view to a 2014 release.
