Hollywood actor Nick Frost is a huge fan of the Star Wars movie franchise and has admitted that he is very excited about the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII movie. While giving his views on the project, Nick went on to talk about what he thought of J.J. Abrams directing the film, saying that he thinks the director is perfect for the role.
Frost was speaking with the folks over at IGN when he said, "I think it's going to be amazing. I can't think of anyone better to do it, really. J.J. is so smart and he's a guardian of the genre. He wouldn't do anything to hurt it."
He added, "I think he just wants to push it forward and improve it and you know, J.J. is one of those fantastic filmmakers where he understands the fact that, yes there are millions of dollars you can spend on amazing effects, but if you don't have good characters that people root for then it's just eye candy and it's meaningless."
There has also been a lot of talk about the potential cast for Star Wars: Episode VII with the general consensus being that a lot of the main cast from the original movies, such as Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, will all return for the film. Star Wars: Episode VII will open on December 18, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
As for his own acting career, Nick Frost will lend his voice to a character in the upcoming animated movie The Boxtrolls, which will open on September 12 in the UK, before then hitting the big screen in the US on September 26.
