Nick Jonas has always seemed to want to concentrate on his musical career, apart from a television show and minor film appearance here and there. However, he seems to be branching out since he has just been announced to star opposite Isabel Lucas in edgy thriller 'Careful What You Wish For'.
This will make the film Nick's first leading role in a film, and the film will be directed by Elizabeth Allen, who has mostly television on her resume and has previously directed the Vampire Diaries and Aquamarine.
So far, what's released of the film's synopsis says, "Doug (Jonas) gets more than he bargained for when he starts having an affair with Lena (Lucas), the young wife of an investment banker renting the lake house next door for the summer. The husband’s suspicious death reveals a substantial life insurance policy, and everyone is a potential suspect in this sexy thriller."
The movie is said to begin filming in late April in North Carolina, but we don't yet know anything about possible release dates. They will probably try to get the film into film festivals at the end of the year or the beginning of next year, and then try to pick up distribution from buzz depending on how the movie turns out.
