There have been a lot of successful boybands over the years and, while some of them are still going strong today, there are others that have split up along the way, some even getting back together. The sad truth of the matter is, at some point or another, every boyband is eventually going to have to split up.
American band the Jonas Brothers were made up of the three brothers Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas and the boys had a very squeaky clean image, as well as going on to achieve a lot of success. The Jonas Brothers announced that they had decided to split last year, with each member going their own separate way and now, Nick feels that he is finally free.
A supposed insider was chatting to New York Post's Page Six column, when they revealed, "'Chains' is a metaphor for what he has been feeling all these years. He feels free now for the first time in his life. He's making music he believes in. He's done saying sorry for everything and trying to be perfect. He's just going to be himself; if people like him, great, if not, he's done giving a s**t. Nick has spent years experiencing a burden that's hard to explain."
They added, "He's not blaming anyone for it; it's just what fame does to people, especially at a young age. Different people respond in different ways - some do drugs and act out, but his response was to conform to what he thought people wanted him to be. Remember, he was a 13 year-old kid when he became famous. For example: He thought that when he slept in a hotel room on tour, people would talk s**t about him if he didn't make his own bed. So he made it.''
With that said, we would be very surprised if there was not a Jonas Brothers reunion tour at some point in the future. Watch this space.
