Singer Nicki Minaj has shocked a lot of people over the weekend, by opening up and going public with her recent health scare, which she has admitted she thought was going to kill her. Nicki was making her speech at the BET Awards on Sunday, in Los Angeles, when she spoke about her scary ordeal.
Nicki Minaj was picking up the award for the Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the BET Awards, when she made the shocking revelation to her fans and fellow celebrities. Nicki admitted that, while she was petrified that she was about to die, she also did not want to call for an ambulance, as she feared it would end up all over the internet.
Minaj explained, "The other day, literally I didn't tell anybody this, I really thought I was about to die. Like, I was saying my prayers to die. And I didn't even want to call the ambulance because I thought, 'Well if I call the ambulance, it's going to be on Tmz!'. And I would rather sit there and die."
Nicki Minaj then went on to admit that the frightening experience made her realise that the fact that she was famous would draw attention to her ordeal anyway, "It made me realise I don't care what anybody got to say. I'm going to do me (sic)," she added.
While Nicki Minaj seemed happy to speak openly about her health scare, she still did not go into any more details about what the mystery ailment was. We are glad that Nicki is now doing well and we wish her all the best in the future.
