Hollywood is currently full of Australian stars who have come through the ranks on shows such as Neighbours and Home and Away, with some of them, such as Chris Hemsworth, becoming huge movie stars. Now, Nicky Whelan will be hoping that 2013 is her big year.

Nicky, who starred in Neighbours, has already appeared in a few Hollywood movies but 2013 could be her big year. Nicky certainly has the looks of a movie star and it is fair to say that she also has the acting ability to go with it, so it should only be a matter of time before she becomes a huge Hollywood star.
This year will see Nicky sharing the big screen with some of Hollywood's bigger names. Nicky Whelan will star alongside Jamie Chung, Amy Smart and Leslie Bibb in the movie 7500, as well as starring with Teresa Palmer, Christian Bale and Natalie Portman in the movie Knight of Cups.

Working with such huge stars can only be good for any actress and, if she manages to hold her own against these Hollywood stars, it could prove to be a stepping stone to greater things. Next up for Nicky Whelan is Paranormal Movie, which is a comedy mocking the Paranormal Activity films, and is released on April 9.
