Nicky Whelan is probably somebody your mum would remember for playing Pepper in the Australian soap Neighbours. Since then she has made guest appearances on Melrose Place and Entourage and now she has taken the time to discuss her role on the movie Hall Pass.
Nicky explained, "I’d never heard of a Hall Pass until I came to America. It sounds like something at school. It's not my idea. I wouldn't use this ever, personally but it's interesting. Maybe it works for some people.” Whelan also revealed how working with the Farrelly Brothers convinced her to take the role.
She continued, "The Farrelly Brothers had a system, and it works, and they both have ways of making you feel comfortable and making you laugh the whole time.” Nicky then added, "They're lovable, and they're family, they're so warm. I think, unconsciously, they have a system where one will walk up and give you note, and the other stays back.”
Whelan concluded, “I think they just naturally have their system, so it’s not awkward having the two of them. I actually worked on another film where there were two directors and that wasn't as clean." Hall Pass is now available to purchase on DVD and Blu-Ray.
