Hollywood duo Hayden Christensen and Nicolas Cage will join forces on the big screen in the upcoming movie Outcast, which has recently had its planned release details confirmed by producer Jeremy Bolt. As well as having its release details confirmed, Jeremy has also revealed that there are already plans in place for an Outcast sequel to get made, as they have such high expectations for the movie.
The movie Outcast sees Nicolas Cage and Hayden Christensen playing the roles of a couple of European crusaders who decide to make the long journey to China in a bid to find redemption. Clearly those involved in the movie are hoping to take advantage of the ever-growing Chinese market, with the Chinese production company Yunnan Film Group co-producing the film.
Jeremy Bolt has spoken about his plans for the Outcast film, first revealing when the movie will hit the big screen, "We are planning a worldwide release, including the US and China, in September and October this year," explained Jeremy.
He then went on to talk about their hopes of making Outcast into a successful franchise, adding, "Outcast has been acclaimed by buyers, and we are determined to make a sequel."
As well as starring Nicolas Cage and Hayden Christensen starring in the lead roles for the movie, Outcast also has a supporting cast that includes Yifei Liu, Fernando Chien, Andy On, and Byron Lawson. Outcast is the directorial debut of stunt co-ordinator Nick Powell and will open in the Fall 2014.
