Nicole Kidman appears in V Magazine's Travel issue to promote her new film 'Paperboy'. In the interview, she discusses peeing on Zac Efron for a scene in the movie, being in character, and another upcoming role in Lars Von Trier's 'Nymphomaniac'.
When asked about the peeing scene, Kidman says “The peeing thing, I didn’t think that was weird, because I was in character. And for me it said so much about [my character]. One, she’s protecting him. Two, she’s tough as nails and no one else is going to pee on this guy. All of that made total sense to me. I just went for it and didn’t overthink it.”

Kidman also talks about Lars Von Trier, and gives an anecdote about how the director tried to make her wear a dog collar once. “He’s going to do another thing that is going to shock the world,” Kidman said. “There’s different philosophers in the world, and some of them are going to be extreme and controversial and some of them aren’t,” she explained. “And we need both.”
Paperboy premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, and will release October 5th theatrically. Paperboy co-stars Kidman, Efron, Matthew McConaughey, and John Cusack.
