Following a 20-year long wait, the Nike Mag sneakers have arrived. In releasing them, the company is partnering with Michael J. Fox's Foundation - a foundation that seeks to cure the Parkinson's Disease. 150 pairs of the shoe have been ebay-listed; ranging, in size, between 7 and 13 and with bids that have already reached $75,000.
This is just the start, however. From tonight, until September 18th, every 24 hours 150 Nike Mag's are going on auction; meaning, in total 1,500 pairs will be auctioned off. Proceeds, of these auctions, go to the Michael J Fox Foundation, solely; and - due to a $50 million dollar match guarantee, given to the foundation - the auction-proceeds are only half the sum.
