It has been rumoured in recent weeks that Ian Somerhalder has proposed to his The Vampire Diaries co star girlfriend Nina Dobrev and that she actually rejected his proposal and the idea of marriage. However, both Nina and Ian have denied the rumour, with 23 year old Nina claiming that, while she does think she is still too young to consider getting married, no such proposal has actually taken place.
Dobrev explained, "I'd heard some crazy story that I'd been proposed to, but I would be wearing a ring if I had one. Not true at all. I mean, that's not my style. I'm young. I'm really young." Meanwhile, Somerhalder also shot down the rumours, saying, "It's not true. If it were true, I would admit to it, 'cause getting turned down builds character!"
