We love it when a nice strong cast comes together for a television show or movie project, which is one of the reasons that we have become very interested in the planned film Arrivals, which we have quite high hopes for. A strong cast is always a positive start and we just hope that the script can hold up and that the directing is up to scratch.
Actress Nina Dobrev quit the hit television series The Vampire Diaries, in order to focus on her movie career, so it is nice to see that she will star in Arrivals. Meanwhile, Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams is beginning to sign on for some exciting projects, taking on a big role in Arrivals. Finally, Ender's Game actor Asa Butterfield will also appear in the film.
The new movie Arrivals has been making steady progress over the past few months and has been officially described as, "An American hypochondriac who is working as a baggage handler at the Cape Town airport is forced to confront his fears when a British teenager with a terminal illness enlists him to help her carry out her eccentric bucket list." Definitely an interesting topic and a unique way to look at it.
While we are going to see Maisie Williams, Nina Dobrev, and Asa Butterfield starring in Arrivals, the movie will also see Peter Hutchings on directing duties for the project, from the script that has been developed by Fergal Rock. Arrivals is expected to go into production this year and we will let you know when the movie gets an official release date.
