Noomi Rapace compares her Prometheus character to Sigourney Weaver’s Alien character
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows actress Noomi Rapace has spoken about how her character Elizabeth in the Alien prequel Prometheus compares to that of the character Ripley, played by Sigourney Weaver in the Alien franchise. Noomi claims that, while Elizabeth is a much more feminine woman than Ripley, there are still many similarities between the two characters.
Rapace explained, "She has similarities with Ripley but she's more feminine, she's a bit more naive in the beginning.” She then continued by adding, “She's a believer, she's full of faith, she's a scientist and archaeologist. She goes on this journey in space and she changes into a fighter, warrior and survivor. She's very much a typical Ridley Scott woman!"
Noomi Rapace will appear on the big screen alongside Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron and Patrick Wilson in the Ridley Scott directed Action Horror, Prometheus, which is set to be released in the UK on June 1, 2012 before being released a week later in the US on June 8, 2012. Noomi Rapace can currently be seen on the big screen in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, which was released last month.
