It has been confirmed that Stephen Campanelli, who is best known for being the long time camera operator for legendary filmmaker Clint Eastwood, has decided to make his directorial debut, with the movie Momentum, which will open in 2014.
With production on Momentum set to begin in January next year in Cape Town, Stephen has already managed to get two impressive names signed up for the movie. It has been announced that Olga Kurylenko and Vincent Cassel have signed up to play the lead roles in Momentum.
Talking about making the move into directing, Campanelli said, "For the last 20 years, I’ve been blessed to work with one of cinema’s greatest story tellers, Clint Eastwood, as my mentor. Now, I will be making the leap to where I really belong, as a director, with the feature film Momentum."
Momentum will centre around a thief, played by Olga Kurylenko, who finds that she is not only being hunted by the police but also by a gang of assassins, led by Vincent Cassel. The screenplay for Momentum has been written by Adam Marcus (Let It Snow) and his writing partner Debra Sullivan.
