American actress Olivia Munn has spoken out against TV shows, which make women think that they have to be super skinny to look good. Olivia also confessed that she would not be pressured into losing weight by anyone, and why would she? She has a fantastic figure anyway.
Munn explained, 'We are in a world where looks matter. On America's Next Top Model, Tyra Banks puts a girl through who's size 10 or 12 and she's a plus size? That to me is ridiculous. When I need to lose weight, I'll lose weight but I do it for myself and I do it for how I want to look and I'm not going to let anybody else pressure me into it which means in ten years I'll be ridiculously big!'
It is nice to finally see somebody who is regularly seen in the public eye making such a stand but it will be interesting to see if Olivia Munn actually sticks to her word. If she does and she does become big, it is pretty much guaranteed that she will be ridiculed for her weight gain.
